L'appel Du Vide

L’APPEL DU VIDE steht für eigenständigen PostPUNK. Die Band entlehnt ihren atmosphärischen Sound einer Vielzahl düsterer Gitarrenbands der Vergangenheit – Bass und Schlagzeug bilden dabei das treibende Fundament, während die Gitarre zwischen eingängigen Melodien, schrägen Akkorden und Noise/Feedback-Attacken pendelt. Der dezente Einsatz von Samples und Synth vervollständigt das Gesamtkonzept. Die deutschsprachigen Texte spiegeln wiederum die Gegenwart ohne lyrische Floskeln oder plakative Parolen.
L’APPEL DU VIDE wurde 2019 in Chemnitz als Projekt von ehemaligen Mitgliedern von BLACK LAGOON, OUT ON A LIMB, DIE TUNNEL und MVRMANSK gestartet. Ein viel beachtetes Demo-Tape wurde Anfang 2020 veröffentlicht. Nach ersten Live-Shows von der Pandemie ausgebremst, kam es zu Besetzungswechseln. Neu sind ehemalige und aktuelle Musiker von VOID BOYZ und THE ROYAL BOOZE CONSPIRACY hinzu gestoßen. Zudem wurde mit dem Nebenprojekt NIGHT MIASMA Anfang 2021 eine Vinyl-7“ auf dem hauseigenen Label „It‘s Eleven Records“ veröffentlicht.

THIAVV

THIAVV’s energetic and elaborate blend of Punk Rock and Post-Punk relies on aggressively melodic bass lines and furious drumming, topped off with an electric guitar, both effect-laden and intricate. The lyrics, gazing ever inwardly, go out on a limb, admit weakness, scrutinising all the things that have been held at arm’s length for far too long. The group evolved from pre-existing Hamburg punk bands Plastic Propaganda, Violent Instinct and Cavity/Search at some point in 2017. No longer willing to follow the stylistic templates of their own scene, the band spent the following two years developing their own sonic identity. In early 2020, they felt ready to showcase the material they had written until then and got to play one single show in their home town, supporting Molchat Doma. Further efforts were stalled by Covid-19 and everything it entailed. Unwilling to idly await the end of the pandemic, the band shot a video for a song they deemed fit for the current times. Now they proudly present „In the Open“. Genre: Post-Punk, Punk, Alternative Comparable Bands: Death Bells Litovsk Spectres The Chameleons (The Fan and the Bellows period)
