The lazy shortcut to what we’re talking about is to imagine a combination of Suzi Quatro, The Heartbreakers (Thunders’ incarnation)and Gary Glitter! We’re talking two minute blasts of explosive,adrenalised rock’n’roll that knows its way around a hook and is happy to cut to the chase – no waiting around for the chorus. Gabbie Bam Bamsings, plays guitar and writes all the songs. She has a voice that does indeed remind you of Suzi Q – and even Poly Styrene at times, but thesongs are much more straightforward rock’n’roll than anything X- Ray Spex ever came up with. The album comes in at a Ramones approved sub thirty-minute total and there’s no room for fillers.
TEO WISE (IT)
Teo Wise is an Italian singer-songwriter who can’t sit still. His music meets between the past and future, creating a flashlight that will warm up your little heart, making you feel at home as if you’re jumping back into your childhood bed. For Teo Wise, it doesn’t matter what you have learned; grab some glue and other random stuff, put it together, and create whatever you want. But his favorite thing to do is live shows with his band „Teo Wise and His Mommy.“ There is no musical genre in his sound; you can choose how to call it or call it, as he calls it, „Spaghetti RNR.“
