JEFF CLARKE
Nachdem Jeff Clarke im Jahr 2000 aus Edmonton, Kanada, weggezogen war, um einem Leben als Arbeiter in den Ölsanden von Alberta zu entkommen, begann seine musikalische Reise mit einer 56-stündigen Busfahrt, die ihn nach Montreal in Quebec führte, wo er die legendäre Band Demon’s Claws gründete. Nach einer Veröffentlichung auf dem deutschen Underground-Label P-Trash folgten mehrere Tourneen durch Europa und die USA, bis schließlich das amerikanischen Indie-Label In the Red Records auf die Band aufmerksam wurde und zwei Studioalben veröffentlichte. Seit einigen Jahren ist er außerdem Mitglied der US Garage-Rock-Band The Black Lips (Fire Records). Vor seiner Zeit in Berlin veröffentlichte Clarke außerdem das Album „Hated by the Sun“ und einige Singles/EPs unter dem Namen Hellshovel (Slovenly Recordings) und ein weiteres Album gemeinsam mit Emily Frances Bitze unter dem Namen Milk Lines (In the Red Records).

What the hell happened in 2019? Five ex-members of fine Garagepunk-bands wake up in burned out underground parking garage. Where shadows give birth to more shadows something was taken shape, that’s now captured by NIGHT PUNCH on tape. An intense Synth-Punk-monolith of 13 songs coming blazing fast at you, taking a short rest, only to hit even harder afterwards. Take a breath inbetween, when synth-melodies straight out of late 70ies horror movies announce the next attack.
