Naarm/Melbourne synth-punks Metdog have established themselves as giants of the local scene since 2017 with their angular-punk sound featuring slinky guitars, blippy synths, samples and tight rhythms all given heft by Metdogs witty lyrical style delivered with untempered frankness. Metdog channels the energy of garage/rock classics The Saints, ACDC and The Stooges, delivering it in a package as intriguing as sonic innovators like Devo, Talking Heads or Gary Numan.
2024 saw Metdog establish themselves as road veterans,
embarking on several interstate tours playing with premium
acts such as Full Flower Moon Band, Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice, Fungus, The Vovos etc. mid-January 2024, Metdog released their highly anticipated sophomore record ‘Question and Answers Regarding Computers and Screens’, featuring the hit single Screen Time, a hook-laden thumper for the post-novelty technological age. In mid 2025, they are skipping the ocean and brining their live performances full of frantic energy, skittish beats and tasty licks to venues all through Western Europe.
